France

My road : Janzé, Chateaugiron, Saint Aubin du Cormier, Fougères, Louvigné, Savigny, Mortain, Estry, Aunay sur Odon, Caen, Ouistreham, from 15 to 2004-03-17.

The first week is almost pass, already! Yesterday, March 17, I made my entrance in Caen to find my friend Alain to the Traveller’s Arch. The rise so far is made in 4 steps, but not without effort because the crossing of Norman hedgerow still rugged. The most redoutable is the climb to Mortain where it took was pushing the bicycle on 2 real kilometres. This place was also the most difficult portion from Louvigné du Desert to Estry. For a start, I am spoiled by the weather because apart Monday when the weather was gray and charged with clouds, the rest of the days have been pleasant to travel.

These beginnings have already led me at some meetings, including cycling enthusiasts, but living it differently, races or rides on Sunday. There was also Christian, this farmer who has opened his door to me which left me alone at home to settle in while he continued his work with his animals.

Setting leg takes place quietly, without aches and pains the next day.

Some small improvements were needed on the bike, making 2-stroke, in Janzé, then in Caen, but now I think I might disembarrass and I have a perfect derailleur.

The next destination will be Le Havre, and then to leave France to the north of Lille.
